
Previously, he had joined the Cerner Corporation to engage with senior-level health care executives to provide comprehensive insights on emerging industry trends and issues. Bill came to Cerner to oversee specific business development initiatives relating to future patient care information technologies, and established innovative arrangements with large progressive integrated health organizations.
Before joining Cerner, Dwyer was a divisional vice president of strategic marketing at Abbott Laboratories in Abbott Park, IL. In that position, he was responsible for researching and developing strategic analyses on the health care and medical technology sectors of the U.S. economy. He held a number of key senior positions during his tenure, after joining Abbott in 1977 as a hospital sales representative in Rochester, MN.
