
Muslims are projected to be the second largest religious group in the U.S. by the year 2010. Yet, many Americans remain largely suspicious of this group and often assume that Muslims are "foreigners" who are inherently anti-Western and have no allegiance to the United States.
Because of recent world events, various sources of media have either knowingly or unknowingly perpetuated this misunderstanding.
Dr. Saba Ali will examine these misperceptions and provide information that will counter stereotypes, as well as discuss the discrimination issues that Muslims in America face.
