Brit Hume joined Fox News' Washington, D.C., bureau in January 1997, as managing editor and chief correspondent. His broad-based position includes coverage of major political stories, and news analysis for Fox News Channel and Fox News Edge. He also is a panelist on Fox News Sunday, a weekly public affairs program. Hume's distinguished career as a journalist includes 23 years at ABC News, where he served for nearly seven years as chief White House correspondent. In 1991, he received an Emmy for his Gulf War reports and was twice chosen by the American Journalism Review for its "Best in the Business Award." Hume has traveled with Presidents to Moscow, Beijing, Europe, South America, and Australia. He has been a principal correspondent covering the last four Presidential campaigns and was selected as a questioner for the 1988 Vice Presidential debate. His award-winning documentary on hazardous waste disposal became the first TV documentary ever nominated for an Academy Award. Brit is the author of two books and pens articles for numerous leading magazines.
