Beginning his airline and travel career as a lawyer for Eastern Airlines, Diffenderffer left Eastern after six years to join SystemOne Corporation, a worldwide travel reservation and information management systems provider, as General Counsel and Secretary. He rose to CEO and President of SystemOne, a subsidiary of Continental Airlines, and its successor, SystemOne Amadeus.
After departing SystemOne, Diffenderffer became Chairman and CEO of EXTRA On-Line, a developer and provider of Internet-based travel planning and reservation software and services. After selling the company, he joined IBM as a Partner in its Global Travel and Transportation division, where he lead their strategic travel vision and provided consulting to several of the world�s leading airlines.
